Emma Watson was born on April 15, 1990 in Oxfordshire, England. Before she got the role of Hermione Granger in the first Harry Potter movie at age 10, she participated in school plays and had leading roles is plays as Arthur: The Young Years and The Happy Prince. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (Sorcere's Stone in the US) was released in 2001 and Emma Watson has appeared in all the following sequals. In 2007 Emma spread her wings outside the Harry Potter franchise and starred in a British TV film called Ballet Shoes. She portraying Pauline Fossil, one of three orphan girls adopted by an eccentric explorer. Emma has said that she enjoys sports and plays field hockey and tennis. She has just finished filming the 6th Harry Potter movie, the Half-Blood Prince, expected to be out in July 2009.
